Description

This lamp follows the Akari tradition: mulberry washi paper stretched over a bamboo-rib frame on an iron base. The paper diffuses light softly and evenly, so the lamp reads as a warm glowing form rather than a bright source. Four sizes are available, from 47.2 inches up to 74.8 inches tall, all finished in white.

It plugs into a standard outlet on a 59.1-inch cord with an inline push-button switch, so no hardwiring and no electrician are needed. The socket is a standard E26 and takes LED or Edison-style bulbs, which are not included. The lamp runs on AC 110-240V and is certified for the US, UK, AU and EU markets, with the matching plug selected at checkout.

The 47.2-inch suits side tables and compact corners, the 63.7-inch slim form fits narrow alcoves, the 74.8-inch wide version anchors a larger seating area, and the 74-inch model gives presence in an open room.
