Description

The Selene Halia is a dome in high-density polystyrene with an open bottom, casting warm light downward while the curved surface diffuses it evenly. The shape is drawn from the moon, and the material keeps even the larger sizes light for what they are, from 3.3 lbs at the smallest up to 33 lbs at the largest. It comes in white or grey.

Seven diameters are listed, running 11.8, 15.7, 19.7, 23.6, 27.6, 31.5 and 39.3 inches, with heights scaling in proportion from 6.7 to 21.7 inches. It hangs from a cable adjustable to 59 inches, and longer extensions are made to order for high or sloped ceilings. At the larger sizes in particular, a licensed electrician should carry out the hardwired ceiling installation.

The socket is a standard E26 taking LED or Edison-style bulbs, not included, and a warm 2700-3000K bulb gives the intended soft glow. It runs on AC 110-240V. As supplied it works from a standard wall switch, with dimming available as a build-to-order option from Fenoss. A single pendant suits a bedside alcove, while three grouped together work well over a dining table or kitchen island. The open bottom leaves the bulb visible from directly below, so a frosted bulb reads better in low-hung positions.
