Description

The Blanche step light is built around visual comfort, which in practice means you see the stair and not the source. A black aluminium panel sits flush with the wall or riser and projects light downward onto each tread, so the path is clearly defined while the fixture itself stays dark and unobtrusive in the corner of your eye.

At just 3W on a low-voltage supply it runs cool, and running cool is what lets a recessed fixture last for years buried in a wall where heat has nowhere to go. A rubber gasket seals the housing against moisture and an IP65 rating covers rain and damp, so the same fixture works on an exposed garden stairway or an interior hallway without modification.

The polished aluminium panel and tempered glass lens suit retro, modern and Nordic schemes equally, and three light colours are offered: warm white for a softer entrance, cool white for maximum contrast on treads, and a yellow tone for a more traditional, lantern-like feel. Available at 110V or 24V. Recessed installation should be planned into the wall build and carried out by a qualified electrician.
